In college when I was somewhat racing, I bought a brand new $7.5k road bike for only $3.8k (thanks to team sponsorship). Still have it, almost sold it a few years back for some money, but I figured I'd never be able to afford another bike that nice so I decided to keep it .

But I have to say, it is an absolute DREAM to ride! And the integrated seatpost is just beautiful!

i guess he wasn't expecting my skinny old white ass being capable of doing that. shit, i only have half the hand strength i had 20 years ago. it isn't that hard to pick up two 24's with one hand/arm for transport to the car either. hell, he thinks i'm gifted.

but you guys know i'm just this side of retarded, so it cancels out.... lol
Haha, I was on crutches for my 21st (last time I had knee surgery actually, the surgery was about a week after my bday). Anywho, I managed to carry two handles of liquor and two 6 packs of beer, while crutching, up to the register. They felt bad for me that no one helped me, so they gave me a nice discount

after your experimenting over the years...what did you finally settle on, as your main bicycle?
