Just your basic pickling Spice packet from the store, just follow directions on packet. I varied the "Heat" content of each jar by adding various dried pepers left over from last year. I also added fresh garlic, basil and oregano from the garden......Good stuff!

You know, this is my tenth trip to Afghanistan and (I think) my 23rd or 24th to the CENTCOM AO. The whole trip is always just business as usual until the last two weeks. That's when I start smelling the barn. I need to constantly remind myself that shits not over until I'm wheels down in the US.

This is my sixth deployment since 2006. I have not been home a complete year since I graduated. But damn son, you need to come outa the hills once in a while and enjoy the finer things in life.
