    savage

    but the one with the most parts availability and customization is the

    Remington 700

    For an AR, get the LMT.

    For a bolt gun, get the Remington 700 Police model.

    Leupy makes a 3.5-10x40, but it's SFP. I have one on my precision .223 AR.

    How far is far?

    my LaRue is a 16" AR and I can pluck a 1/3rd IPSC target from 750 yards. That rifle weighs a whopping 7.6 pounds.
