The magpul DVDs are very well produced, and their section on equipment selection is really neat.

the part about density altitude, barometric pressure, and humidity is spot on though.

you can also true your ballistic curve using muzzle velocity and bullet BC.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

In any case, all of shooting comes down to just two things: sight alignment and trigger control.

folks, I'm not that good of a shooter. I'm just in a class right now to learn ho to get better.

Might check out Jiu jitsu then. I tried krav and Jiu jitsu/Muay Thai and liked Jiu jitsu better. It's all about what you want.

One class in Krav Maga we were "whore" choking our partners and practicing getting out, my partner was a chick ands he kept yelling at me to quit being a pussy and fucking choke me... ... ...

    That was my last class.

I want to learn to shoot 500-1000 yards but don't really know where to start... I have a rem 700 heavy barrel 308, I reload(still a newb), but its hard to drop big coin on something I don't know if I will enjoy.

I enjoyed it a lot. Havent in a don't distance in a couple years though. You could do it with your 700. That's really all an M24 is.
