I wanted a valentine 1 until I saw the $400 price tag. About gagged. I thought $150 was "expensive" for them.

Radar is OK. But the best thing one can do is just be observant. If you drive the same stretch of highway, know where the troopers park. And keep your eye's 100 -150 yards ahead.

my problem is, I tend to look at the next 3 seconds. I am very observant around my car, and don't look into the long range for coppers. I have been doing this for years and years. and I have been able to avoid TONS of accidents, crap on the road, idiots etc. However, I get pinged by the fuzz a lot.

yeah. That's what I was thinking. I am just looking for something to just keep me in check. If it pop's off, I will look at my speed more often.

I try to look for outlines, silhouettes, and certain shapes as far ahead as I can see. I don't legally need glasses to drive, but I wear them mostly because they help me avoid tickets and trouble.

The best thing you can do to be safe and avoid tickets is to have good SA.
