Except when you step in dog poop. That does absolutely no one any good and there is no upside to it.

There is an upside for any observers. The gufaws will commence shortly after said stepping.

Good point. I definitely laughed at someone a month or two ago at work who stepped in a cow pie. That was hilarious.

But dodging cow pies at night is tricky, especially when the cows are grazing all around and drop them in a moments notice, so you can't count on the path staying clear.

I use the otterbox on my S4. Get one and you're GTG. I found out that sprint offers free replacement on any parts bought in their store for a year. My wife dropped her iphone and shattered her otterbox. They replaced the case no questions asked. It's worth asking if your carrier might do the same thing.

Thanks for the tip. The verizon store has jacked up the price in store on those cases, so it might just be cheaper to have to buy a second case eventually. I'll check though!

Oh, and whats the concensus on those extended warranty/insurance plans? I know you get a refurb phone and not a new one, but are they still worth it? Or just take a chance that you won't need a replacement phone more than once every 10mo (since hte plans are $10/mo) and buy a new, $100 phone then if needed?

I always get a new phone and no insurance. I'm pretty careful though. insurance only pays off if you break it - of course. I look at it like 'i'll take my chances'...
