Our Kirby is still going strong.

It's fun to ask the Kirby door-door salesmen what trade value they would give us on a new Dyson.

My Dad and Step Mother are still using a Kirby unit that was new when I was like.......6 years old. Tough product.

But then again, most stuff built in the 70's and prior to that, were built to LAST. This "throw away" concept of manufacturing that has been going on for a while, is really a horseshit deal.
