Bench looks good. Gonna add a shelf inside? Extra storage and adds rigidity to entire unit.

What are you thinking about material for back stop?

    Thanks, Lobo.

I saw some stuff at Lowes today that was about 3/4 thick and nearly 3 inches tall for a backstop. I thought about the shelf program, and I've considered a "hutch" type program too. Only limited by creativity I figure.

Before I catch up, I thought I'd post something that just made me

I was reading an article on "The Top 5 You Need to Get Your Hands On Now". First, shotgun. Second, AR15. Third, .40 or .45 full size handgun. Why that caliber? Because of "stopping power".

Granted, I LOVE my .40, I'm definitely starting to see the benefits of 9mm as a SD gun.

9mm is just fine. Forget .45.

I need to get a new stock for my AR badly.

BC... it's nice to have both the 9 and the 40 imo.

Nice looking bench! I also am envying that huge jug of powder underneath... wish I had that much powder!

So how many rifles/guns/builds have you finished since you've been back? I see this is your 2nd? How many more are planned? lol

Good luck! Wear some gloves when you shoot those first few off, just as a worst case scenario!

But seriously, I wore gloves when shooting my reloads for about the first 1000rds. Then I started accepting that I'm doing it right, but still paying tons of attention to what I do.

Yes it is, and now that I'm concealing my M&P40c EVERYWHERE and all day long now (in my shiny new DOS holster), I'm wondering if 11 rounds is enough. So, I'm carrying a 15rd mag in my pocket too just because I can.

Agreed. Though I do want to pickup a .45 of some sort since I don't have one.

Also, the article mentions after the 4th being long range rifle, and 5th being .22 pistol and rifle, that you should pickup a Mosin Nagant and a .380 for concealed carry. I started laughing there because my CCW is easily converted to full size with the large magazine (granted shorter barrel, but it'll get the job done).
