buy a stuck case removal tool. OR 1/4-20 tap, drill sized to tap, bolt and a few spacers, 3/8" in dia. 1/2" long.

I need to get after this fence I blew off yesterday. All the posts and beams are up, I just need to slap on some pickets and build a gate. Not sure I have the right nails and I haven't been able to find coil fence nails to fit my roofing gun, so I guess it's going to be slow going. I wish I had a framing gun to go along with the finish and brad nailers, but could never really justify one.

Regardless, it will give me a little private time to reflect some over losing my Pa 5 years ago today. He was quite the carpenter and handyman.

Sigh, first time back on a mill in a long time and I get to the end of machining my sight pusher and what do I do? I drill a 1/4" hole for a 1/4-20 bolt .

Stupid me, you're better than that! A 1/4-20 bolt requires a #7 drill bit!

Oh well, guess I'll just spend another 3 hours tonight redoing it all...

On the plus side, I didn't cut off my finger or get any aluminum shavings in my eyes, so thats good...

And yes, I am that cheap that I'll spend hours upon hours machining something so I don't have to drop $125 on a sight pusher (MGW for M&P). Then again, my design should be usable on any pistol, so thats a big plus.

What size OD, threading ID, length and material?

If its aluminum, delrin or UHMW - yes. If stainless steel or some other form of steel or hard metal, then no.

Also, how long do you want to wait for it?!

I'm pretty sure I have a huge chunk of junk brass out there, its large enough you won't feel the recoil anymore!!

Oh HB, don't feel bad. I JUST had my first stuck .223 case in my Lee dies the other day. I used plenty of lube like always, but it just felt weird on the upstroke, so instead of lowering it and checking, I kept going.
