You mentioned your buddy/that guy bought stuff just to use your loading gear.

Tell him to buy the lee classic, and he should be able to do it himself.

before I bought a press, I used hoser's stuff. However, I asked him if I could, and when it fit with HIS schedule. If I just shows up unannounced, I'd expect to get something red and bad for my teeth in return (a brick to the face). Plus, I was raised that you don't just show up to someone's house. Give a call or send a carrier pigeon first.

anyways, it's 10am here, I slept well last night, and now I'm going to go look at a castle and some old ass armor.

He's german so the whole don't show up unannounced thing isn't natural. He stores all his gear at my house because his wife doesn't want him reloading. He doesn't consult me on anything, just buys random crap at the shop and expects to be able to turn it into ammo. When he first bought the 9mm stuff, he wanted me to reload it all for him. I told him that was illegal ( or so I thought, but maybe its just selling reloads).

I might be able to convince him to get the lee hand press. Its small enough he can store it anywhere. Only problem is, I don't think he understands how important the dimensions are.

I'd make him buy his own press or donate monetary compensation for your equipment. You loading for him only spells trouble down the road. ESPECIALLY if he has an issue and his trophy wife, decides to seek solace, in the arms of an attorney.

Regarding the over priced FFL / shop. you should get on back order list OR have some of us locate components up here for you. S & H & hazmat from CO will be cheaper and the correct parts from here than driving down the road.
