load a few from every head stamp, but load them to 'almost' max. Then see how the brass is affected. That's why I sent you that pile of various head stamp.

See for yourself about soft brass, primer flow, primer flattening, head stamp flattening, extractor marks, etc. etc.

Thanks, I'll plan on doing that. If I have time this week I plan to load up my first few rounds of 308.

And on a somewhat totally unrelated note, one of my packages has a eta of Friday, which is odd, because I thought that genre of things had to be overnighted or 2nd day air shipped, not 4 day regular UPS Ground. And the last 2 that I bought were shipped 2nd day air (double checked the tracking on those). Stinks, probably won't be able to pick it up until next week. :/

eta: Just looked it up, shorter versions are overnight, but their longer counterparts can be shipped ups ground.

Just load up to the proper specs, as far as COAL. That way you have an even baseline.
