Ya, I did too. Took a while, lost a little blood. But winning this ones heart just took over. She had been living under my deck, and sheds for at least 3 1/2 - 4 years. After I lost my last dog I said I was done. So I took what food I had left and started feeding this starving cat. Took 5 -6 months. And now. She's my best friend. I get along better with animals than I do most humans !!!

Buddy never used to be a cuddler, but early in my wife's recovery from the first back surgery he started sleeping right next to her legs and has every nite since. He has been worth his weight in gold. As a working dog(heeler til he was 7 and body guard for my wife since) and as a family member.

When we were kids in elementary school our first family cat was a feral cat my dad brought home from the feed plant worked for. He felt sorry for it. WTF, how do you feel sorry for an 18 lb jet black intact male feral cat living in a plant that makes livestock feed, has plenty or rats and birds to eat and protection from predators and the elements. That thing was a killing machine, destroyed the neighborhood, birds, other cats, occassional small child, kicked the neighbors, mean ass, scared the shit out of us doberman and finally forced several said neighbors to demand dad get rid of the cat or Animal Control would be called.

    That cat was frikkin cool.

Critters make great and loyal friends. But they will steal your wife.
