    Thank, OBC. I'm using a cast-iron skillet and I selected recipe on the net that starts with directing a fan at the smoke detectors and opening the windows because of the smoke from searing...

    Yes, it has ended a discussion before, but that'll put the scope too high on a Rem 700, so I was looking at getting TPS TSR rings after debating back and forth a lot. The LT719's are nice, but I probably don't need the QD function now.

    Take the chill out, set in sun, for some color and serve. This is the first cut (end) of a 5lb rib roast i did for NYE. By the time i clicked a pic, someone had already sampled it.
