Then try to get to range in time to shake down oldest grandsons new rifle for family reunion match on Sunday. He is defending champ in the under 12 kids div. A couple of cousins got into his head over Christmas break and rattled his cage. He calls me every other day to discuss progress.

This afternoon is just me. Get the bugs out and get it on paper. Then tomorrow he will dial in with me coaching.

We have a sweet little spot near Wiggins that is a bowl that the wind just blows over our heads. Just enough room to set a 50 yd range. If light wind tomorrow we can move onto the flat and stretch out to 100 yds.

So if you want an SBR, you get the tax stamp for the lower, then you can put any upper on that lower. Uppers are not firearms and have no serial number, therefore they do not require a stamp. Suppressors require stamps. Each item requires its own stamp. The NFA section of this forum is lots of help, but there are other forums dedicated to NFA stuff like silencertalk and snipershide. I bet a google search of "how to make a SBR" or "how to purchase a suppressor" would yield good results.

That sounds awesome. And awesomely difficult. Good luck!

Home with a sick HB Jr for the first half of the day, then into the office to do 2 days worth of work in 4 hours FTW!

Yeah, an SBR with a suppressor is definitely the way to go. Or anything with a suppressor.
