I have the feeling that while shooting at a public range, this would happen to you frequently..

Question, Belly.... if having spent today with the G17, would you recommend not switching to the G22 tomorrow? Had to take a back up anyways, and I kinda wanted to work with the new sights on that one too. Or should I stay shooting the same weapon for the whole class?
Which can you shoot better with? That might be your answer. Might.....

dont get too many new things going on at once.....

stick with the same gun. You have the fundamentals down. Why change horses mid stream and possibly throw your game off?

i really don't mind folks that have cool stuff. I don't even care if they know how to use it completely, as long as they're safe. The attitude of those yahoos bothered me, though. They were the ones that said, "oh, ONLY a 16" .308? This here is my 6.5x284 monster derpy-derp, flippity-slurp. It's got (insert penis measuring statement here). Why don't you go first, with that .308 of yours?"

I try to be cool at the range, just go and do my thing, talk to a couple buds, and then go eat some BBQ. These guys brought it out of me today, though.

the range I go to does have new folks there all the time. I like the fact that folks will ask questions and I'm more than happy to answer them the best I can.

Um, yeah. I'm glad to not be one of those dudes.

btw, I actually feel better with my G22, but, another time.

The ergos between a 17 and a 22 are exactly the same. Different recoil, if that affects you, and different round counts (17 vs 15).....

    thats why I say 'might'

    ultimately, its YOUR class....
