Congrats on the new big boy scope, OBC! I would find no added value in buying any scope that costs more than $400 because I don't have the skills to use it properly. Right now, a $300-400 scope works just fine, but I look forward to the day when I can fully appreciate a nicer scope. Honestly, I don't think any of my equipment limits me... I think I am the limiting factor in my shooting. Need more useful range time, less blasting.

Yep. I've got 4500 miles on it and the windshield cracked before I even hit 500... Damn El Paso County puts GRAVEL down on the roads. Not salt, not sand, GRAVEL.

Possibly. Because I know you are concerned about my well-being, my car was in park when I took that picture and posted it. Traffic was at a standstill for about 5 minutes before we started rolling *slowly* around the accident 3/4 mile in front of us.

I'd love to see you take a copy of the labor laws to your boss.

FALSE. You are only limiting and hindering your own progress by not knowing what good equipment looks and feels like. People don't learn to race cars in a stock Geo metro. Once you look through GOOD glass, I'm betting you will immediately see why you should have it.

Do you still shoot pa-paw's .22 lever action? If not, then you can always benefit from better equipment.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

You don't know what you don't know. I think my shooting skills need to be improved to make better use of the equipment that I have, but I'll take your word for it on this one. Either way, if I don't have the money to buy a box of SRPs, I sure as heck don't have the money available to buy a $1k+ scope.
