I wasn't complaining about recoil, but you cannot deny that minimizing felt recoil and muzzle rise allows for faster follow up shots and is advantageous for every situation including everything from competitions to fighting for your life.

If it makes you feel any better HB, my AR has carbine length gas system and I will admit it is annoying sometime, not so much the recoil, but the muzzle rise that takes a bit longer to get back on target.

All my current ARs are carbine length and I would like to smooth out the recoil a bit
