"When law and morality contradict each other, the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his moral sense or losing his respect for the law." -Frederic Bastiat

"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."

    Bullet stabilization:

a longer barrel with a slower twist can stabilize a bullet that it otherwise shouldn't be able to.

you cannot over stabilize a bullet.

the weight of a bullet isn't the key part about twist, its the length of the projectile. Longer projectiles (heavier) stabilize better with faster twist.

so: a 55 gr (because of the projectile length) can be sufficiently stabilized by a 1/9 twist. A 77 gr can also be stabilized by a 1/9, but you can get better LONGER RANGE stabilization and accuracy using a 1/8 or 1/7 twist. A 55 gr can also benefit by a faster twist.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

At least got to sit on porch drinking coffee with youngest minion snoozing away on my lap and watch sunrise.

The fox that lives in the neighborhood and that we have not seen in couple months cruised thru the yard. Glad to see her still around and hope she gets knocked up and has a litter this year.

Nothing like waking up hearing your dog dry heaving, then running across the house to let them outside before they puke on the carpet, then stepping in it because you're too blind without your glasses to see that they just puked and you didn't make it.
