Got to spend about 15 mins out on porch listening to neighborhood Symphony at start of first light.

Today's arrangement was lead by Meadowlarks and coyotes, backed up by the old owl and the doves. Assorted other birds joined in and even had a short but moving solo by the neighbors beagle.

    Dawn on the prairie rocks.

So.... I've been hitting the gym pretty hard the last couple months. My new boss (elephant) is a bit of a workout nut... this means that we ALL are now workout nuts.

    Here's the problem with that:

My body responds pretty well to the gym. I didn't know this until I started hitting the gym heavy. I went from 185 to 195 in about two months. According to the Army, that's overweight. I'm not fat, just overweight. I need to get my body fat percentage measured now, and it came back with something ridiculous like 14%. I need to do more conditioning, I think.

Congrats! ...I think. I would be thrilled to put on another 10 lbs in 2 months. 2 years ago, I was geographically separated from my wife so I became a gym rat and put on 22 lbs in 6 months. (That brought me up to 165 - LOL) Since then, I've been a bit lazy and have focused more on cardio than lifting. On top of that, I haven't been working out as often, or as hard and I'm holding steady at about 160 right now, but my goal back then was to make it to 170 and I still would like to get there, but without losing any of my cardio.

I haven't gotten too much bigger, I just got much heavier.

the flabby parts are now a little less flabby. It's really weird. I'm not super-ripped or anything, I'm just a lot less squishy.

Yes...yes you did. And therein lies the problem with getting up and working as early as you do

Oh, and for the record... we quoted both, so they're here to stay!
