My A/C went out in my truck, I started looking online to find a replacement and found out that it potentially was part of a re-call. Went to the stealership, and they said I had no re-calls on my truck Luckily it was just the condenser fan, cost me $60 and about 35 minutes.

Vin # may say yes, however the part # on said recall item, could be the replacement one, and not a recall item. Yeah, yeah the 57azy is recalled. You have a 57azy-2

Yes, but every other recall I've had done they have the parts in stock to fix the issue immediately. They are just getting the part number and then ordering parts. So it's not just one visit and wait for what they said 2-3hrs, it could be two.

Dodge kept sending me recall notices for the front end on my 2004.5 Ram.

I already bought and installed the "upgraded" 2008+ steering system. They included an option to apply for reimbursement for work already performed so I sent it in. We'll see what happens. Maybe I'll get a nice check from Dodge?

FWIW, I avoid most recall or TSB notices as often they are stupid shit I've already fixed myself or are just plain stupid. Case in point: *some* trucks were not going into park or slipping out of park into R (not mine). Their "fix" was to blast the horn if the truck was in R and the door opened. The only one I missed that I wish I had gotten - because I probably can't get it alone - was the one to allow idle control with the cruise buttons.

Two hours later they got me out of there. Turns out they had the part in stock (even though they told me they didn't) and they replaced it. At least I got some drafting done while I waited.

That's actually not too far off from what drafting is. I just use a mouse and still make pretty shapes with pretty colors.

What can I say, I get paid to draw with crayons.

Man, I gotta leave a note to the editor one of these days....lol.

Middle of the week...downhill from here, right? Been a pretty damn busy week so far, and looks to stay that way. We took in a new customer fleet that has been ignored for some time and we're trying to keep the bills down. The cars need so much stuff done it's crazy....think there's 9 cars total.

Back to the floor, I should have some pics up maybe later tonight or tomorrow.
