Just took me an hour to change the oil for the first time in the new truck. Who the hell puts the oil filter on the other side of the engine behind a skid plate? The only diagram in the manual showed the filter literally coming out of the oil pan. It took me 25 mins to find the stupid thing. Didn't help that the last one installed was black with no markings and everything was covered in mud.

Usually one runs their vehicle through the car wash before rolling underneath it. Regarding the filter positioning, you rather it be exposed more open to on/off road hazards? Most if not all off road package 4x's have skid plates. Up side is , next change should be 15 min tops. We had an 81 benz for service, before the www. Owner forgot he put manual in his carry on , instead of the benz. Benz here, manual Fla.

Yeah, now that I know where everything is and now that I know the diagrams in the manual are worthless, it should be under 20mins.

I moved all the oil, gas, propane, and chemicals out of HB Jr's reach. I also moved all my extra lumber up there. I'm loving these hanging shelves!

Meh, there is enough stuff there that storing it anywhere indoors wouldn't make much difference. Good news is, that is a shingled roof over that area, not living space.
