Agreed. Yesterday I drove 1243 miles. Mostly along I-80, which wasn't too bad, but people can be frustrating. As in, there isn't enough Jameson in the world to fix it, frustrating.

THIS! I deal with this EVERY DAY on the way to work and back.... so frustrating!

Also, I've driven 83 from The Springs to Parker hundreds of times, so I know exactly what you're talking about...

We did that yesterday on I-80. Obama 2012 stickers won by a landslide... (no pun intended)

Then he would speed up 55-60 in the passing areas and downhill. I finally snapped and took him in the merge passing lane at Flintville and he gave ME a stinkeye as I went past. Prick.

Got home around 2000 after overstaying our intended visit, dropped the drunks old folks and my wife off at the house (I was stone cold sober DD FWIW), topped off the washer fluid in the car and took out the pile of trash to kill a few minutes, and headed off to pick up a Pizza we had called in.

FYI, it was -16 in Elizabeth (south of town) and -13 on the car reading all the way home.

Papa Johns LOST the pizza that clearly showed was READY in their computer but it was MIA. They remade it quickly. I asked the young dumb bitch blonde TWICE and the dude making it if they had the right ingredients listed on the order. When I opened it to check, the f*ckers messed it up good but it was free by then and we were all hungry. I was hungry, they were drunk hungry.

On the way home, two blocks from the house, I get stuck behind some jackwad going 10MPH! TEN F*CKING MILES PER HOUR!!!

I drove 1243 miles yesterday and when we got back to our home at 10pm, EVERY ^!@#$(&^% SMOKE DETECTOR WAS CHIRPING. WHAT THE @#)$!?

Oh yeah, and the stockpile of 9V batteries we had? Apparently they were all dead. So I got BACK IN THE CAR and drove to Walmart... Then, WHY THE (@^ #$ ARE 9V BATTERIES SO ^@#**#@@@! EXPENSIVE?!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHY DO THEY MAKE SMOKE DETECTORS CHIRP IN A FREQUENCY RANGE THAT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DIRECTIONALLY DETECT????????????? We have 5 smoke detectors in our upstairs. Eventually, I just gave up and replaced all the batteries. Fuck you Kiddie and your shitty chirping smoke detectors..

I feel your pain, HB. We just buy the damn 9v batteries in bulk from Sam's and rage for a while.

Have yourself some nice red meat and throw on a good violent video (my go-to DVD is Starship Troopers) and feel better. Look at it this way: you don't have to deal with it again for at least a year.

Should have had your insurance company send you batteries in the mail.

I replaced all my batteries and they're STILL chirping. Did some checking and it may be time to buy new ones. House is 13 years old and they're the originals. Screw central wired smoke alarms.

Once a detector is bad, they chirp forever to let you know it's time to replace them.
