I've been reading the tragic story about the young mother that was accidentally shot in a Walmart by her 2 year old that reached into her purse and found her handgun. Apparently the child never actually pulled it out of the purse but somehow pulled the trigger and it went off and shot the mother. The media is spinning the story that guns are so dangerous that a 2 year old can shoot someone just by touching it.

Why in the hell was it loose in her purse? Why wasn't it in a holster that covers the trigger? Carrying a gun loose in a backpack or purse is just asking for an accidental discharge.

My condolences to the family, but WTF?!

What is the point of being hooked up to power if they still drain a 9V every year? At $3 a pop, that's $24/yr just for batteries for a device that is ALREADY POWERED.

suppressors get hot. the heat radiates off teh highest point, which happens to be right in line with the line of the scope, which can cause a false mirage effect. This assumes a couple things: your suppressor is a cylinder.

the cover mitigates that mirage to the point that a hot suppressor might not interfere with the next shot.

Oh yeah, and the stockpile of 9V batteries we had? Apparently they were all dead. So I got BACK IN THE CAR and drove to Walmart... Then, WHY THE (@^ #$ ARE 9V BATTERIES SO ^@#**#@@@! EXPENSIVE?!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHY DO THEY MAKE SMOKE DETECTORS CHIRP IN A FREQUENCY RANGE THAT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DIRECTIONALLY DETECT????????????? We have 5 smoke detectors in our upstairs. Eventually, I just gave up and replaced all the batteries. Fuck you Kiddie and your shitty chirping smoke detectors..
You did date the batteries prior to installation, yes? This way you can track time of install , to time it wakes you up 2 hrs before you normally get up for work.

it also makes it easier to remove the can, for those who forgot to put their gloves back in the range bag after cleaning.
