Dang, OBC, that music video was pretty trippy. Cars are always cool though.

Deep purple from the album MACHINE HEAD. ca 1974. They later branched off to Blackmore's Rainbow (get ready Kevin Bacon fans) which then had Ronny James Dio as the lead singer. Who then became the lead singer for .................................................. ......BLACK SABBATH

At which point BLACK SABBATH went on tour with.............................................. ................................BLUE OYSTER CULT

1978[ish] Which was called THE BLACK & BLUE TOUR. FUCK YEAH Sabbath opened doing rotation with CULT. BOC like SABBATH, ROCKED There way lights, LASER'S and lots of smoke filled the area.

Trivia : BOC also went by their original name Soft White Underbelly. They used this monicker when playing @ My Fathers Place , bar event stage on the north shore of LI . As well as other small venues on the Island and NYC area.

It rivaled the NYE [ish] show when this unknown band (to some) AEROSMITH opened for BLACK SABBATH when OZZY was lead 1975. 2 songs in to SABBATHS set, the crowd was still calling for AEROSMITH.

Aerosmith played from their first albums.

Now it's 2/2006 at which time AEROSMITH was on tour. For my 50 something bday. The spouse took me to CA & Las Vegas. Where it so happened Aerosmith was doing what would become a short tour year due to issues with Tylers "voice"
It was almost song for song (what i remember) anyways of their show back in 75 when they opened for SABBATH. Only much longer.

Opening act was Lenny Kravits (son of The Jeffersons) Helen Willis / Roxie Roker. While not a fan of Kravits. i will say he gave the crowd their monies worth AND MORE. To say i was impressed is an understatement. Even more ironic. The crowd was calling for more from him after his 3rd encore. Impressive.
Even more impressive. the area we were seated. EVERYONE was the same age demographic. When he played American Woman 1/2 doz ladies began to remove tops etc.

Yes that was an good concert. One couple asked the spouse and i IF we'd like to come back to their place and "party, if we knew what she meant"
The wife felt the trip AND concert was more than enough of a present for me.

Thus ends this tale of a few concerts spanning 32+ years.

I wish Deftones would come on my Pandora more often. Especially this song. EDIT: These two songs were always my favorite.
