That's a good question. I don't think I've had that issue since wearing a back pack in high school. You could probably get pretty creative with ideas to create space/air flow. I could see myself gluing strips of caulk backer to the vest, but that would create considerable bulk. Not to mention I don't know if that would effect performance.

I do remember reading about how doctors were using different methods of regulating people's body heat during surgery. Instead of using blankets to bring body temp up after heart surgery (where the person would be covered in ice) they would instead wrap warmers around their wrists. I believe the idea was that heating and cooling areas where major arteries travel closer to the skin works to effect body temp faster than just covering the whole body with blankets. So long story short, it may be worth looking into those cooling tubes you wear around your neck. Sorry I don't have any more valuable input for you.

So far I've only come up with grabbing myself some under armor heat gear shirts to try and keep things wicked and dry (one time to be thankful for dry climate here). Also found this http://shop.221btactical.com/products/maxx-dri-vest seemed like might be worth a shot.

Might even go as far as to do the vacuum hose to a car a/c vent for my drive to/from and on breaks could sit in car w/ ac.
can't help you cleaning wise. BUT... if you want to try reducing perspiration try a change of diet. Limit caffeine, carbonated beverages, etc.

Been switching out the furniture on wifes yard rifle to OD. Finally got the hand guard picked up and on it, waited(for 3 weeks) for slow poke buddy to send butt stock and now I can't find where she left the pistol grip she picked out of the pile.

She announces this morning she has decided she wants FDE instead.

It started with FDE and I traded those parts for the OD.

Think it is time she learned to assemble AR platform her self.
