So far I've only come up with grabbing myself some under armor heat gear shirts to try and keep things wicked and dry (one time to be thankful for dry climate here). Also found this http://shop.221btactical.com/products/maxx-dri-vest seemed like might be worth a shot.

Might even go as far as to do the vacuum hose to a car a/c vent for my drive to/from and on breaks could sit in car w/ ac.
Fitz not much you can do when you're sitting. Lack of airflow. The problem with Kevlar is its tight woven and air doesn't flow freely. Heat gear won't do much, it's made to dry quickly when air moves. Might provide slight comfort, it's the lack of circulation that kills you.

Several of the LE that I trained bjj with said it didn't matter what they tried. Even with ac cranked in their patrol car. It was always great on a really hot day... If their BO didn't gag you from being in a vest all day, the entire can of axe they use to try and mask the smell would.

What Jim said about your intake of caffeine and such will help as well

Which leads me to the other problem, worried about staying awake now that I'm apt to be doing overnights again for a little while. Was wondering if anyones been on Nuvigil or any of the "shift work disorder" meds. I've had existing sleep issues with excessive daytime sleepiness or other times even after anywhere from 6-10 hrs sleep.

PS reply to your PM, scheduling issues with sunday.

    good cause i'm over scheduled

Before one tries "something for sleep" try meditating, exercise, yoga. Yeah it sounds hokey BUT being able to relax mentally helps your body physically relax. One of the better ones (for me) is some old lamaze stretches the spouse & i practiced decades ago before our daughter was born. Good stretching was followed up with relaxing your mind / trying to erase the hectic day.

In order to achieve this one must Turn off the phone, close the blinds and tell the spouse it's quiet time. White noise (fan) always helps.

Going to sleep not a problem, it's staying awake.

Regular exercise made the biggest difference for me being able to stay awake.

Russian porn. Trying to figure out what she's saying keeps you on your toes, hypothetically.

A good rest / sleep is part of being able to stay awake.

    That, ....is some funny sheeet.

Howdy fellers. Rough day today at Grandma's. She is really starting to fade away, and it was really tough to talk to her without crying. I love her a lot, but (whatever power of goodness) already knows that, and SHE knows that...and that's what matters. I don't think the time can be counted in months even....maybe weeks.

I know how you feel OBC. Mines getting worse and worse. The dementia is going faster than her health is failing and my allergies act up every time I talk to her... It sucks
