Semi-good afternoon. What was slight flakes has turned to sleet.

I spent the whole day building a quiet box for my generator. Been a bit of a challenge, but it's really coming along nicely.
It's being built like a brick shit house, but once it's finished I need to make sure that it doesn't get too hot in there when it's running for any length of time. It's my first one, so there's some experimenting going on. I think I'm doing a pretty good job.

That's cool OBC. Is this for emrgency genset for the house, or camping?

I bought a campground rated Robin-Subaru 10 years ago when we bought the camper. It's held up well and is pretty quiet.

Would love to have the big 18-20KW units my buddie's have at their places, but I'm OK with mine for any extended power outages here unless it turns into bug out. Something to run to the furnace blower/igniter and fridge as long as the gas is still on and I have fuel.

Yeah, emergency kind of set up.../ SHTF type deal.

Exhaust is one of those "one way" vents and the intake has enough room around it to get plenty of air in the box.....the exhaust should create enough venturi effect to keep stuff circulated.
My first rodeo on this kind of deal, I might need to be making some changes but the jury is still out on that. Once it's done, I'll give it one heck of a test drive to see how everything performs....no overheating or anything like that.

I haven't tried it yet, but if I turn off my main breaker and run the generator into 1 exterior outlet on my house....it will only make that circuit hot, right? How can I set it up so all my outlets are hot off the generator? OR just get an electrician out here. I also have some serious questions about solar power and a few different ideas I have about storing and using solar potential.

how much generator does one need to run the furnace and blower motor? I know my gas fireplace, with fan, would be easier to run, but if SHTF I would like to warm more than one room.
