    Nice.

...Although he does call Bill Nye his "hero". -1 point.

Obviously not a needed repair. You're the only one putting your self through the misery of working on it. So stop beechen.
Imagine of that money was funneled towards reloading components.

Not so fast pal. All four bulbs in the third brake light were out. The screws were completely rusted to the mounting brackets, requiring me remove the brake light with a dremel and completely destroy it in the process. I could have simply sourced a used third light from somewhere, but who knows how long it would take to find, how much it would cost me, or what condition it would be in when it arrived? Instead, I got a red LED pair of lights off Amazon for $6.95, and a sheet of metal at the store for $5.95. The rest was time and crap I had on hand. I also had wanted to check out those lights for something else in the first place so this allows me to check them out first hand. Thinking of adding the second pair I have on hand as additional reverse lights.

Side note, the wires are very delicate to work with and a lot of the reviews said the lights get very hot with no way to dissipate the heat. That's why I mounted them to the metal. For reverse lights, I'd just mount directly to fiberglass top or bumper.

    WHOA, SLOW YOUR ROLL AMIGO.

After the repairs & updates done to this "vehicle" you should consider upgrading the drive train. To a later diesel unit. It's a nice base model to have fun with. Tell your wife, you're doing it for your daughter. This way when she's old enough to drive. The Amigo might be close to completion

Up coming episodes will be replacing the rear springs with Trooper springs for a 2" lift (necessary), replacing the shocks, possibly extending the brake lines. Changing all the fluids in the differentials. Cranking up the front torsion bars to match the rear, replacing front shocks, alignment, etc. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping to avoid an episode about getting it to pass emissions. All this just so my wife can drive it until I can replace it this summer with a Pizngauer. Of course I'll need to buy wife another daily beater to drive instead.

Do the emissions first. Or you'll be stuck trying to unload 4X parts to taco owners.

We are 11 days into the new year and I haven't purchased ANY new firearms. My commitment to only purchase optics this year seems to be going well. I've gotten one aimpoint.

I'm doing ok.. I think the withdrawals masqueraded themselves in the form of a sinus infection which I apparently waited too long to see the doc for.. and it was beginning to be bronchitis.
