You are probably qualified as a physician down there.

Speaking of Mexican doctors, I think you have Netflix, right? check out Cartel Land, if you haven't seen it.

Your eyes and ears look good. Now lets take a listen to your heart and lungs. Should i call you senorita, or senora, Gabriella?

On this week's episode of FUCK YOU, AMIGO!, "Why you no gas mileage?!"
Despite what my OBDII Bluetooth thingy says, there is no way this vehicle gets this good of mileage. When I used to drive it to the tech center, it used a 1/4 tank EACH WAY.

It was throwing a CEL for emissions, but still managed to actually pass emissions last week. At one point, I got the codes for, iirc, bank 1 sensor 1, and bank 2 sensor 1. It's a V6 so I know it has two pre-cat sensors and two post-cat sensors, and that while the post-cat sensors might throw a code, they shouldn't have an affect on gas mileage. As you can imagine, I only bought two.

Having a somewhat heated garage sure is nice...until there is muddy ice water all over the place. First world problems.

The pre-cat sensors were easy enough to find, but given the tight space (which of course doesn't translate in the photos) I thought I'd be swearing and destroying my knuckles all night long.

Surprisingly, both sides were pretty easy and I took most of the time going slow so I wasn't tearing up my hands and dropping any more rusty dirt into my eyes than necessary.

I don't know what a 120,000+ mile o2 sensor should look like, but I can't imagine it looking any way other than this.

Total cost, under $45 (inc shipping). Total time, one Mastodon album.

Tomorrow I'll needlessly waste gas driving around to see if it makes a difference or if the code comes back. It probably won't make a difference and I'll have wasted gas to find out that I also wasted money.

Final photo, the only cool thing about the Amigo is the beefy factory skid plate. Tune in next time for more adventures of FUCK YOU, AMIGO!

Buy dolly to lay on, eye protection, and tools for the job. This is your windmill. We all know this isn't the last time you'll be underneath it.

I have gotten into the habit of wearing eye pro. You only take a dirt shower directly in the eyes so many times before you learn.

And here folks were saying that you couldn't teach Stu anything. He's proving them wrong. Our boy is growing up.

left work @ 3PM Thursday, back @ 1AM Friday for 10+ hrs. Only got 2.5 hrs of broken up sleep since I'm not accustomed to going to sleep before midnight. Stopped by the store on the way here. Got my Espresso powder, couple of 5 hr energy's and a Monster drink. That should get me home later where I'm certain to crash hard once I walk in the door.

So, once I leave work today we'll have another new GPS satellite in orbit to help more hippy wifes drive into lakes and hunters to find their way back to their trucks.
