    I've stayed away from the 308 AR platform due to nothing being uniform.. Is it an Armalite, DPMS, CMMG, Daniels Defense or other platform?

    It's DPMS on the LR308. From my understanding you have LR308 and AR10 with the former being more commonplace.

    Not really. Do some reading. It's , again, why one of them is not in my collection. I had a 1st gen Armalite back in 2000 something. Gas rings were the weak link. Couldn't give it away.
