    The oldest was set to start some rim fire matches this summer, until he had a severe case of stupidity that lasted from spring to midsummer. By the time he got back on track and showed enough responsibility and maturity to continue firearms training, it was time to start school and football again.

    Hit the range with the oldest on Saturday and burned quite a few rounds. He can now keep most rounds on a sheet of paper @ 7 yards with a handgun. Would be better, but visions of nonsense and youthfull fun and all. He fired some full power rifle rounds, his choice, and we got some flinching but also a big smile. I ran my FAL and did quite well, minimal bruising due to the ladder type steel but - I need a pad. Red dot needs the mount redone, but with BPTactical out of the picture that project is on hold.
    Sunday was crap. Wife slipped on the stairs and sprained her thumb. My theory is the cat did it.
