So I have a Bushmaster listed for trade both here and on Armslist. I have had about a dozen inquiries from Armslist, mostly asking do I still have it. My policy is to politely reply to all inquiries and include my phone number and invite a call to discuss. Out of a dozen replies to inquiries two are scams and one guy call me and asks how much I want for it to sell it. I tell him I am only looking to trade but he presses on and demands a cash price. I tell him again I only want to trade and he starts telling me that he has $500 fucking dollars and that is all he will pay so I say that there are a ton of $500 AR's on the list and he starts yelling over and over, fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you ... until I hang up.

In about a minute he calls back and says he didn't get the price because we got cut off. I tell him that I hung up because he was cussing at me and I did not appreciate it. He says he is sorry, it was not him, it was his brother that was saying that because he was drunk. Then he asks how many mag's I will include and I say one 10 round as stated in the advert as transferring mags over 15 rounds is not legal in CO. He replies that he can go into any gun shop in Greeley or Ft. Collins and buy them, they just want too much for them. Then the guy starts telling me that because I have a trade value of $600 to $800 I should take $500 for it. I say I am not interested and he really freaks out callin me names and cursing at me. I ask him, who am I talking to and I get the repeated fuck you fuck you on and on again. I am staying on then line and laughing my ass off at this guy. That makes him even madder and he just keeps cussing and demanding I meet him in greeley right now and sell him my carbine. I continue laughing and finally he hangs up.

I wait ten minutes and I call him back, ask him if he has an AR-15 for sale and how many mags will go with it. He is polite as can be, doesn't seem to know it is me, says he doesn't have an AR for sale but will sell me his AK-47 and twenty 30 round magazines for $1000. I say great, what is your name and address, he give them to me. I ask what shop he wants to use for the transfer on Monday as there won't be any shops open on Sunday and he says we don't need to bother with all that and just come by tonight and we can do it right away. I say I can't get away tonight and will not do a deal unless we follow the law. He just exploded again with name calling and profanities so I just hung up.

This guy is completely unhinged. I called the Greeley police and the with his information and what transpired. See or hear something, say something, right? Assholes like that guy should not own firearms. I hope that they get this guy before he hurts someone.

Good work getting his info, I'm so glad I don't work at a public range anymore dealing with assclowns like him.

Doesn't mean they reread rules/regs but eliminates any argument about a can o' corn to the head.
