I was trying to cut the sleeve off some romex with a pocket knife. Due to some temporary mounting solutions, pulling the wire was moving my box, so I was doing it a dumb way. After I cut myself, I did it a better way.
There is a bright side and dark side to many things today.
I got to use my favorite chisel again, but jacked up the edge so now I have to spend who knows how long fixing it.
I got to use this awesome nail puller that I didn't even know what it was for up until last week.
I was trying to sawz-all through what I thought was a sideways nail and couldn't figure out what was taking so long. This was flush with the wood when I started cutting it. It wasn't until I pulled the board from the other side that I realized what I was dealing with. I used my favorite chisel to remove some wood to get purchase with nail puller. This son of a bitch was in the concrete, so still took a substantial amount of effort on my part. You can see why it was taking so long to cut through once I removed some surrounding wood.
I got rid of this stupid asshole arched doorway. Future generations living in this house will thank me greatly when it's time to move in. I'm considering getting rid of the arches in the other two doorways, but I may determine it it to not be worth the trouble.
Finally, I went to the liquor store to get some alcohol to treat my cut. I bought a mix pack of Mexican beer, which I NEVER do, but it was the cheapest mix-pack, and came home to discover this was one of the selections.
It tastes like Jehova-damn sawdust!!
