I didn't think much of it, until I saw it was my FUCKING AX, and of course, it cut a very deep gash into the top of one of my knuckles. This is the third deep cut I've had to my hands in two weeks. I haven't even mentioned all the other ones. It's getting ridiculous. I've been wearing latex gloves all night just in case I start bleeding. Having a discussion tonight, it really kinda sank in for me how much the corporate world has accelerated the decline of a nation. For 31 years I worked for a private business that went corporate a year and a half ago.

The ridiculous kid glove policies and political horseshit game playing is all that's important in this type of world. I'm a guy that that grew up in a world that told you that you were being an asshole so pull your head out, and get with the program. This type of world only cares about who the best smiley faced bullshitter is, whether or not they're the best person for Leadership or Promotion. I guess I've been sheltered in my career up until now, but now I see it doesn't matter if you know the best way to get stuff done without fluff........it matters more if the dickhead guy who acts like he knows shit, and has the projected smiley faced persona....can pretend like he gets stuff done....takes credit when it isn't due.

If you go to superiors and complain about said dickhead, YOU look like the dickhead. Smiling people who stroke superiors mean more than the folks who are actually getting the hard work done.

If you say one damn thing wrong that hurts somebodies feelings, you're in for sensitivity training and a black mark on your work history. Mention that somebody sucks, and you are insensitive. So, it's okay to suck at your job AND have rights to complain that somebody better than you called you on it, and that doesn't matter. Again, you're the dickhead if you do that, and over three decades into the trade your opinion apparently doesn't matter to anyone.

I'm being told to smile and just worry about myself...and not voice anything. That's a really hard thing for me to not do. I see smoke and mirrors, "presenting", role playing if you will, and it pisses me off every fvcking day anymore. And I'm not supposed to say anything about it.

If you're going to champion the bull shitter, then all you're going to get is smiles and bull shit.

I guess in closing, Fvck you corporate world for not seeing who really gets shit done, and shove your political correctness up your ass. Perhaps it's that mentality that makes this world so damn fake and messed up as it is at this point, and going downhill from here.

A place we looked at was so off grid. When i called Flight for Life to see what their response time was, with coordinates. It was so off grid they went, HUH Where's that ?

    This gave me an idea:

If I ever actually get to a point where I can buy some place in the boonies, offer location as a Flight For Life training of rural rescue location. Then, if something happens, there's no question that they know location and lay of land.

My shift's replacement just quit. Starting tomorrow, from 1400 - 2000, I am the enterprise NOC during the portion of time we have no shift overlap. This coming week was supposed to be my right-seat-ride w/ my trainer/team lead.
