Good thing I had my office (upstairs bedroom) door open and an timer going on Alexa.
I smelled it before it got too far. However, there's no smoke detector downstairs and it wasn't enough to set off the upstairs.

Meh,
Now if the fire was outside the oven, that might have gotten my heart rate up.
In retrospect, I should have just gone outside and killed the breaker first instead of opening the door. I didn't notice it was actually on fire, just some smoke coming out the vent.
I thought maybe just the sheet pan was on fire and I could just throw some bicarbonate in there and opened it again with a box in my hand and it was worse. LOL. That's when I went for the extinguisher.

Went to the junkyard today (West Auto Parts in Commerce City). Lucked out and found the part I needed pretty quick (a power antenna). I bring it up to the counter and the guy says, "I can do $25." I said, "This is a Rock Auto replacement, and that's what they go for brand new." He just shrugged and asked me to put it back in the car I got it from. What the fuck is the point of going to a pick and pull if they are going to charge you the same price as brand new parts? Now I have to call around and see what people will charge me before I waste any more time.

Maybe $25 is an okay deal, but it sure doesn't feel like it, can't even tell if it worked.

I've had *some* success in junkyards with odd things, but yeah they no longer a great deal as far as I can tell. The exception of course being things that are hard to get or otherwise impossible.

I've gotten a few small things at junkyards in the past for great prices, even ones that were already pulled for me. Just not yesterday I guess.
