Those CJ8's have always been one of my favorite models, I don't know about $25k favorite, but a favorite nonetheless.

This is why even though I want a jeep I am going to look at some other brand of car. The 4 door jeep prices just got me thinking wtf......

Same here, I’ve always wanted one since my first CJ7 back in the late 70’s.

Truck runs and the body is back on....this motor has and engine oil pump leak I found out about today. I'll get the parts on Tuesday and fix that....it's been sitting for six years. Had to readjust the throw on the shifter linkage and a few other things, but all in all it went well. After the oil leak I'll get the new radiator installed and square up the cooling system leaving room for the condenser for the future heat/ A/C unit.

Last time I was messing with this truck I was almost ten years younger.....I'm feeling it for sure. I can still get it done though.

Yeah!.….and I feel like a wagon train drove over my ass...lol.

I'm glad for the holiday tomorrow, I'll head back down to work in the morning and do all the final clean up. I spent over 30 hours down there over the weekend and I didn't feel like doing it today. It feels good knowing that I did it right. Next task is to clean up the flatbed I have for it and get it mounted decent.

I gotta clean up all the cowboy welding that was done on it, bead blast and paint it, and rewire everything new. And redo the hitch receiver with some level of strength and reliability. Been thinking about making some under chassis storage boxes for it as well. Might make one of them a battery storage compartment...still kicking ideas around.

My dad had a similar truck. He mounted bucket seats to the bed. Unintentionally he mounted them like a tilt a whirl. His was a two tone green. Can't remember the year, 77 maybe.

My BIL just is wrapping up his 79 highboy, Caterpillar construction yellow (same paint) with a 460 and about a 6" lift on it, dont know what size rubber but its looks and sounds sweet. Told him he needs to let me go break it in for him but I still yet to receive the keys

They have a farmers market weekends in prescott, thursdays up here. One of the vendors makes these amazingly addictive chili chocolate chip cookies.
Probably start my test cookies to see how close i can get to her recipe this week.

If i can get it close enough to call it good look for my new thread, titled, How to Lose Weight and Survive Sugar withdrawals.
