Safe to assume then that you did not find your cow today Irving?

So far it's miserable! At least it's warm under two sleeping bags, but I can't sleep and am dealing with serious leg cramps.
Seriously though, where Hummer got that moose was a pleasure compared to this. Getting anywhere is such an effort that I can't really put effort into actually looking for anything. It's kind of crowded, but I ran into a group today that shot a cow right in the area In picked out on the map, so that's good. Others talked about pulling multiple bulls out of this area last year. So far it seems like a hotspot. We'll see. Also, just wanted to say that deciding to do your first ever solo camp, and solo hunt, in the Rockies in November may not be the easiest experience.

No cow today, but that was expected, considering I didn't even get up here till 11:30 and didn't get to the trail until around 2:00pm.

So when does it get fun?

When you remember it six months from now.
Also seeing and stalking animals. That is by far the most exciting part. Finding game trails and fresh sign is fun as well.
