I'm gonna plate the under side of the flat bed. It would be easier to get someone to break to spec, but if I do it in sections it would be easier to replace a damaged portion. All of those structural channels are going to harbor dust and moisture and invite corrosion. 1/8 aluminum plates with a bunch of cuts...I do have to thank the ford engineers for having angulated frame rails.

Home dickhead has 3x3 thin wall diamond plate for $38 each, but the math doesn't work out without lots of left over scraps. I'll just have alreco stamp out some plates and modify per each. 93 inches broke five times @ 18.6" doesn't match up with the channels for clean install. I gotta spend some more time and find the balanced denominator. Gotta do the center too...double cuts.

We recently had some plates cut @ 23x13 for $16 each I think.
