I agree, sometimes health issues put a damper on things

In my 60's and after having a leg amputated i was more concerned about my body and muscles atrophying . I do 2-3x a week mild to heavy cardio workouts at the local health club

IMO, unless you're working out on a set schedule trying to maintain a physique you had in your 20's. Forget about it. Accept the fact as one gets older you get a little wider here, little grayer there. I'm not condoning weight where you're up 2-3 belt sizes, just know some things change. Unless you can maintain a set amount of time to the health club and keeping to a diet change. You have to accept it

I'm not quite as worried about appearance, but I just weigh too much.

Thank you for the kind words everyone. I'm just looking for a better minimum baseline of health. I was in the best shape of my life maybe only like 3-4 years ago, so nothing unobtainable at all

Ive lost a number of lbs just training for & shooting midrange tactical in the last year. (Not going to say exactly but it was enough change that I needed to size down the wardrobe) I actually don't mind that a gave up a few of my girly curves for a slimmer profile.

Extra bonus over being more fit, I think I look damn good (albeit a different sort) & I love shooting for so many reasons. Ultimately I trained to be stronger so I could be a better marksman & it shows in more than just my waistline.

Dont think I've said recently: Can't believe I went my entire life not doing this. ;-)

I realize everyone's schedule is different, and yours sounds bad with all the traveling, but your above statement is the reason why I demand a daily exercise routine for myself, some days it's an hour and a half of weight lifting, other days it's just a quick cardio session. I've come to the conclusion I'm past the age of becoming an underwear model, but there is much satisfaction being in great shape, despite minor fluctuations in weight and appearance.

Start small and work your way up, I remember some of the workouts you were doing there for awhile, so I think you'll be fine if you commit.

Squeeze your bum while you're driving. You'll be cracking walnuts in no time.

Squeeze someone else’s bum while driving and there may be a different nut to crack
