Might have been a bit of the inspiration for my 1850 board & batten carpentry gothic church birdhouse.

Then I made a few more. THIS is what usually happens when I'm bored. Made all from discarded material in my alleyway. Trellis, old shower frame, roof flashing, gutter blocking, fencing, chandelier parts etc.,

Each one is actually a pine box appropriate for the bird I wish to house & then skinned with a theme. This rose trellis ended up being the high plains mill. Don't have a picture of it finished w/ decorative water wheel. Doesn't always occur to me to take pictures.

The chandelier boboche whimsy flower house when finished. Not my favorite, but was still fun. Again, all discarded material, minus the fasteners & the contorted hazelnut branch, I cut that from my yard because it fit so perfectly over the peak.
