Take it from someone, if not a few others here who took the long way around to get back to the starting point. Only for a lot more money than you will spend if you go that route.

I want a different gun. Is that a good enough reason?

What if I got a new 6.5 gun, and got an aftermarket .308 barrel for the new gun? Would that blow everyone's mind?

Also, for $400+ for a new barrel, I'm more than half way to the 10/110 tactical anyway.

Isn't it always. Hey it's your money go for it. Then we'll see how things progress down the road. As in what you'll be selling around christmas.

I could, but I figure I can sell everything I have that goes with my Axis, and roll into that tactical for not much more. I like the 10/110 tactical since it has the Accu-trigger, ACIS mags, and factory threaded barrel. I fantasize about trying some long range match in the future and might as well upgrade everything all at once since it won't cost much more. If I wait long enough to change that I'm working again I might just keep the Axis, except for I don't have room for it.

Sounds nice. Do they have one that takes AICS mags?

Pretty happy with these two shots on the plate at 400 yards. These were the only two I took. I missed a whole bunch of times at this distance in a different situation, but when I could shoot correctly, this is what the rifle did, based off a 100 yard zero and a print out from that data sheet I posted.
