National Night Out
enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The state of Texas and select areas celebrate the first Tuesday in October.
Decided to attend as last years was a conflict with other things.
The ones in CO were mostly local business promoting their shops. Nothing out of the ordinary for a purple (ok now blue) state
Down here it's similar, but a little different, when it comes to vendors. Rides and a jump house, plus they had 4 areas where the kids could win prizes by knocking things down or off a perch. However instead of bean bags they were using (GASP!) water pistols and nerf guns. None of this p.c crap.
Then we had 3 vendors who were gun stores. 1 of them had a table full of higher end select fire rifles as well. Along with a few DD items. The other 2 gun stores had the usual suspects.
Throw in a few people open carry. All of this at a LE event.
What a difference from CO.
