Nice!!!
Nice!!!
I bungled one stage, but that was after I had a nose bleed for 1/2 an hour & my truck looked like a crime scene inside. Once I had my skull managed & I was cleaned up a bit they let me shoot it but by then my stage plan was toast, my mojo was soaking into the floormats & half a box of Kleenex, my phone was somehow cracked & then my shooting glasses broke as I was walking to the line to shoot. I just wanted to be not holding folks up from breaking down the stage anylonger so I put on my sun glasses just did it to be done. Not that I might have done any better if I had shot it earlier though, it was already a complicated/ difficult cof.
Otherwise I did as well as I had hoped to do for shooting an impromptu second match this weekend (very tired), using an unfamiliar firearm & shooting with a bunch of very talented folks I don't know & don't know me (anxious maybe is the word to describe it). I'm probably being unnecessarily critical of myself though because If I hadn't told anyone it was my first match of this sort, I'm not sure anyone would have guessed it.
Again, mostly alphas, a few Charlies & couple of mikes. I don't often miss & the few I did were because I accidentally overlooked a couple of obscured targets on that very last stage.
My hits are there & I want to go faster but that won't actually help so I need to be patient & shoot more matches, it will come. I might do a steel match @ CRC in a few weeks just to see if I like it too.
Also was able to complete my yellow card today so... there is that. ;-)
Lastly, i now have to figure out what I want my pcc build to be & if I can afford it in an already tight training budget. Play a little violin for my troubles. Giggle.

Well there's a lot of AR's in the pcc range. However for working within a budget and still get a damn fine pcc, i'd suggest the ruger PC 9mm take down. Iron sights are actually on the money, a decent - good RDS holds zero. Even when taken down then set up for range time, it holds zero.

Have not had an issue using glock, or magpul mags, even with those korean 33 rd units (after changing follower & spring) to a factory glock. Likes any ammo i've shot, so far.

Shit you could not have had a better coach/spotter thats for sure!
I put in another 8 hours knee deep in a creek prospecting for gold today; I’m definitely hooked on the new hobby, but also not looking forward to colder weather without the proper waders / wetsuit setup
Sounds like everyone had a great day. We've been taking our time butchering up antelope. A buddy came over to help a bit and we ate heart and tenderloin tonight. I was talking about theeat being sweet last night. That's really only the crappy scrap meat apparently. The stuff we are tonight was down right amazing. Zero "gamey" flavor. One of the pieces of rare tenderloin, with just salt, pepper, and garlic, was one of the best pieces of meat I've ever had. My pre-teen loved it. Ate there heart no problem. Really happy to send buddy home with a whole backstrap and some sirloin.
C.Norris, you're being too hard on yourself for a first match. Well done. Isn't it interesting how when you are doing the same thing, but a different "sport," you feel like you fall apart? At least you have the excuse of learning on a rifle and switching to pistol. I eat dirt at "different" types of pistol matches, and it drives me crazy.

Thanks Irving. I am being silly I know, just hard not to be good at something right away.
Couple of those stages went pretty well. Yup.
Loveloveloved looking at all the race toys. Makes me want that CZ sport orange all the more too.

So what's the likelihood of having texts about needing to replace a client's water heater all day yesterday & then finding I had to replace my own when I got home from the match last night?!
Super sucky.
