I put in another 8 hours knee deep in a creek prospecting for gold today; I?m definitely hooked on the new hobby, but also not looking forward to colder weather without the proper waders / wetsuit setup

Could ski boot heaters work inside your shoes inside your waders?

Id think that would make it downright comfortable even if taxing on the batteries.

Yay for scalding hot showers.

Didn't even have to clean any weird sediment from the Delta shower controller. Still super sucky Sunday evening chore though.

Yay for my man @ Uhaul. Ive courtesy plowed the lot a few times & they get my propane biz so he was happy to hook me up with an appliance hand truck loan for a few days.

So much nicer to not have a hassle in the middle of a bigger hassle.

Ive converted two sets to function in my everyday work boots.

It is heaven.

Lowest setting & it doesnt seem to matter how deep the snow is or how cold the air. Warm enough tootsies (& ears) & I'm gtg for most anything.

Sounds like everyone had a great day. We've been taking our time butchering up antelope. A buddy came over to help a bit and we ate heart and tenderloin tonight. I was talking about theeat being sweet last night. That's really only the crappy scrap meat apparently. The stuff we are tonight was down right amazing. Zero "gamey" flavor. One of the pieces of rare tenderloin, with just salt, pepper, and garlic, was one of the best pieces of meat I've ever had. My pre-teen loved it. Ate there heart no problem. Really happy to send buddy home with a whole backstrap and some sirloin.

C.Norris, you're being too hard on yourself for a first match. Well done. Isn't it interesting how when you are doing the same thing, but a different "sport," you feel like you fall apart? At least you have the excuse of learning on a rifle and switching to pistol. I eat dirt at "different" types of pistol matches, and it drives me crazy.

You grinding any to sausage? Pork and antelope makes some very good breakfast sausage and brats. Takes assorted recipes and spices very well.

Sounds like you folk had some good times even though there were some challenges and even the sucky parts worked out.

Puppers got to meet and have some play time with the neighbors larger dog. He's gradually learning to stop biting us all the time. He's gentle with strangers but chews us up. Little dude is growing like a weed. Must be so weird to have a body that grows so fast with the hormones to go with it.
