    Floor Whore Wars....

Sometimes she is my bitch, and others, I am hers. It's a creepy symbiotic relationship that isn't necessarily fun, but it is interesting.....since I choose to be positive about it.

For this moment, the saw is unplugged and the mallet lay rest. We shall engage in battle again tomorrow after some rest and nourishment. I plan to attack her from the south east, but starting on the west side flank.

Of course it is. After having 5 presses in CO. With only a lonely 550, still not in use, here. I'm working on procuring a used 650, sans case feeder, for a good deal. That's if the seller is willing to meet 1/2 between here & there.

This could go in the latest purchase thread but it's not for me. My friend Charlie has loaned me his log splitter for many years over the past 3 decades. It's been a tremendous help to me. The splitter is probably 45 years old, works well but the engine is weak and barely runs. So, I popped for a new Honda GX200. Got a good price from Northern Tool and it came in 2 days. I'll install it today and ask him to come over and help me split logs. It's a surprise.

    Returns returns returns returns....

    I really dislike returns.

-loss in labor and/or shipping cost
    -loss in $$$ merchandise cost
-more plies of trash piles (for some retail eho cannot resell return due to policy and/or item condition)

Some say it is cost of doing business. No it is not, unless I can RETURN bunch of non resealable merchandise to your store.

We were discussing returns on another board and the dishonesty of people. The mfr of the product, who requires Amazon to return all product directly to them without resending, chimed in with...

...People returning a competitors (or older model) product in the box.
...boxes containing similar weight in used batteries, or other useless items.
    ...Returning an entirely empty box.

Apparently, Amazon sends a lot of returned items right back out without inspecting so buyers are receiving wrong or defective items, or even empty boxes.

Shit like that. People are assholes.

Yep. Got a "new" outdoor trashcan that was used. It wasn't damaged and I had to hose it out, so it wasn't too big of a deal. I know people that get the latest Apple gizmo to play with it for a couple of weeks and then take it back because it's "too expensive". "I'll get it on sale later."

Recently had that here, too. $120 toner cartridge purchased as new. It was obviously opened and used. At least it is easy to get items like that replaced.
