    Pretty much.

What's funny is that I've made at least half those shots @ that same venu/group/match with a 1-6 bdc reticle & a gas gun. Thought I was being limited from the distance shots by the rifle, scope & ammo capability... blah blah words & more words...

I drove my new rifle well enough, no misfeeds or manipulation issues. Really felt comfortable with it's mechanical operation & on the clock no less. It was a little frustrating because my wind correction was near perfect, just couldn't get the elevation by dialing the data from my calculator. Sucked.

The floating platform was a blast & one of the stages I managed to hit on... go figure.

I need to get back into some sort of competitive shooting discipline.

I'm just getting too old for anything that requires too much speed or movement these days.

I need to figure out which discipline is popular with old guys these days and maybe get into that.

Perhaps IHMSA or something? Or maybe some slow paced rifle discipline of some sort? Even something rimfire maybe?

It seems if I do some sort of competition it get me out shooting at least once a month for the match.

Of course it would cut into some of the time I dedicate to other hobbies so maybe I won't.

the people running the local range here are doing some casual shoots every month. Low entry fee and moderately simple fof. Really curious if they start a 2 or 3 gun up this spring. As for something slow[er] moving. Youngest shooter i've seen at these events, is maybe early 50's.

If elevation was off then either you drove the gun differently or your data was wrong, or a combo of both. Have you confirmed the data at distance from the calculator?

Thanks. I would not mind too much if I could find good parts at reasonable prices locally. But the power steering pump fiasco has turned me off on all local parts stores. They carry crap and don't even list OEM vendors as options.
So it's dealer prices and markups on list prices locally or wait a week for the part to come in.

Thought I had, yes. I was shooting 1/3 moa at distance with data from my calculator just last week. Im certain something was changed in my base numbers/settings.

Ancillary lesson is that I won't let someone else 'help' & touch my calculator again. Soon enough I'll understand & be able to spot the trouble.

    I appreciate the suggestions folks.

Not sure it matters as everything about my setup will change for class. Trying out a couple different optics/reticles/ring heights while I'm down there. Plus the Razor I'm currently using is a loaned item as well. I wanted to have more experience with different optics before making a decision & purchase.

Also kind of over it, least for today.

Have you hopped into a vehicle board to find out where everyone else is getting their parts?

I have. But I would rather not wait on this part if I can help it. If I cant find it locally I will fast ship it and have it hopefully by next Sunday. If I find it locally I will just pay the man.
With 2 kids driving I am out if spare cars, so waiting on parts is not good.
