For the record, I'm definitely not complaining about anything, I'm just realizing the value of saving up money before you need it, instead of spending every dime.Good thing the check is getting bigger too because the bills aren't getting any smaller! Especially not with a house and a baby...

I actually got a bit of a scare last week... I got a letter on my desk stating that I had been tasked to fill a deployment spot. Turns out they only need someone for that spot if we ramp up and start a new war or some nonsense. Whew! I would have been totally fine with a deployment a year ago, but babies are game changers, and now a deployment is the last thing I want!
