Looking at the ZiP Factory gun, that little boxy $200 22lr pistol that can be readily converted into an SBR

They don't seem to be all that reliable from the factory without buying an upgrade kit or doing other things to them.

For 150-200 I keep wanting one also.... ESP since I just bought like a dozen BX25/50's last month

If I found one for $150, I would probably be inclined to pick it up. I don't have any BX25s or 10/22 mags for that matter, but I bet if I bought one, I'd end up getting a 10/22 shortly after because I'd have all those mags. I'm sure a drum mag would look awesome with it.

I don't understand the SBR rail, I would think a side-arm would be more useful. Same goes for the SHTF SBR stock they show on their site. The only hesitation I have at the moment is the charging handle being that close to the muzzle. Doesn't seem all that safe...

Agreed, I think it would be a great little gun to throw a small red dot on for plinking with the 25rd mag and assuming it could feed through the mag reliably every time.

I'm sure if we give it 6mo-1yr there will be quite a few for sale at lower prices than that even. But $199 still is not a bad price for a gun.
