    LOL sounds a lot like my job. I am basically an IT guy for satellite terminals and ground systems.

    When people don't know how to use their equipment (if you know what I mean... heh heh heh) I get a phone call and I have to fix it. Usually I can walk them through it over the phone, but sometimes I have to go deal with it personally, which means walking up a few flights of stairs, fixing it, then explaining what went wrong in hopes that the operators will learn something about their system

    No,working flat rate,so when its slow the pay is slim.Although we do get a base pay for being here but it's no where close to a living..
    It's in cycles some weeks are busy as all heck then theres some that make you wonder if people own cars..

    we're on the same page.

    i manage or help manage a whole bunch of different apps and databases so i see users that are interested but mostly they just want to watch american idol on their ipod and work gets in the way of that. don't read manage as code, i couldn't code my way out of a wet paper bag.
