Hmmmm.
id say a Remington 700 BDL with a bell and Carlson stock. That adds up to about $600.

i doubt very much there will a run on 308 bolt gunsCan you recommend bolt guns similar to a 308? I don't anticipate a sudden run on them, but on the off-chance that they sell out, I'd like to make a proper choice.
most people are way more worried about ARs
savage makes a good rifle - i'd get a savage if i couldn't find a remington - you can find almost anything on gun broker
i did a search for remington 700 sps on gun broker - http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx...ington+700+sps - these prices are not local gun store prices - locals cost a little more b/c they include the shipping in their prices
It'll end up weighing about 8 lbs and it'll be pretty darn accurate. I did this and it shoots under an inch at 100 yards.
